Could be a better school if they bus other nationalities in and make it more diverse. Parent Review 3y ago. Fairfax Senior High School. Disappointed is not saying enough. There is no clear contact method or interaction beteen the teachers, counselors, and principal. There are more new staff members that don't seem to know how things work at this school than I care for, especially the principal and counselor.

The teachers want your children to turn in the work but there is no clear way for parents to assist to make sure this is getting done. These are still children. As I was told by the prinicipal, teachers are not encouraged or required to post HW, CW, projects, etc. How do they expect parent participation. All parents can't take off work to be at the school. Teachers should learn to utilize the tools given to them to advocate parent participation i. Come on now, if teachers and other public school staff do not want to foster a circle of success for students, please find another career.

Parent Review 8y ago. I completely disagree with the comment on the school and its Special Needs program My son is Special Needs and is in his fourth year at Rosewood. The teachers, Principal and especially the students are wonderful with him. He loves the school. Restaurants on 3rd and Melrose are also great. Overall very walkable unlike other neighborhoods in LA where you are almost all the time dependent on your car.

There are also a couple shopping malls and movie theaters. Also, there are a lot of families which we love. Mostly Clean street. Parking is problematic. Good for walking, running. All restaurants and bars close. No car required. Traffic can be bad during business hours. Overall central and great location ".

Great for people who want to live in a nice, quiet, religious, family-oriented neighborhood. No highways cut across N-S though. Lots of dogs getting walked always too. Everyone has been friendly.
