Maggianos boston reviews
Pros Great tips. Cons Inconsistent. Jobs at Maggiano's Little Italy. The pay is amazing, you can make some serious cash here as long as you're okay with the other servers and managers gossiping about you and them picking favorites. Note: They only favor the ones that have been there the longest and put up with their insane demands. They expect you to give your whole life to this restaurant and if you don't they will make it to where you'll want to quit just so they don't have to.
The environment was toxic but again the money was great. High volume executed well. Values balance of life. Large scale production team. Line cooks are normally set by daytime prep team.
Little online prep minus stocking and detailed clean at end of night. You will not have a good quality of life at this company.
Upper management is very demanding and tries to use intimidation to get what they want. Pros Free food. Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No. Covid made it especially hard, not clear only expectations and allowed for a lot of burn out. Pros pay, if you negotiate. Cons work like balance is tough. Cater to employees that been there for years. Managers have special Servers they like so they give them the best of sections.
I work at Many restaurants for over 20 years had many requests come in asking for me but was made to feel like i was new to Serving when hired at Maggiano's. Pros Free soup.
Cons Short break. Bringer is an amazing company to work for and they take care of their own. Cool management, decent pay. I liked working here for the most part. Fun coworkers, supportive managers, and the pay was decent tips were usually good. There were the occasional rude customer or belligerent drunk but that's expected in this field. Cons Customers. The customers are extremely rude, so is the management.
They put their time off and wants ahead of the own staff. They make promises and fail to follow through. The time off situation is horrible, they will deny those who request time off but give time off to those without requests. I have learned how to deal with incompetent staff and customers. Most of those who work there are kind but some are a piece of work. If you are not a server management does not care about you. Those who are servers feel entitled and better than everyone else.
The only way to become a server is pretty much to be hired in as one, sometimes if the managers are really desperate they will promote some people. They promote who they feel like based on favoritism. If you are looking for a place to move up this is not it. You must kiss up to the managers in hopes of getting a raise or promotion. Although you probably won't get one. Cons you have to pay for your food while working, every shift is really long. Management is great, the money isn't.
Place is overall wonderful, co workers are great all very different and from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Busy restaurant, good food, good location, sometimes hard some managers are very nice, but others Clean place. No good benefits. Pros Free meals. Cons short breaks, sometimes no beaks. An overall great work experience. Noise level was a little high, but too bad.

Overall dining at Maggianos was a fun experience. Because we had 12 people, they offered us a private dining room. We ordered family style and there was a variety of choices. I was allowed to select two salads, two appetizers, to pastas, two meats, and two desserts for the group. Everyone went home happy and with a doggy bag.
Love this place. Good old fashoined Italian food and great service. Food was delicious. We were promptly seated on a busy Friday night for our 7pm reservation.
The food was fantastic! Will definitely be back! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great! Best chicken piccata ever. Must try!! Excellent service! The food was delicious and good sized portions. What a great place for a family dinner! From the moment we were greeted, we felt appreciated. The waitstaff was attentive, courteous and personable. The food was excellent and plentiful. We were able to relax, enjoy each other, and, of course, enjoy some great food.
We have eaten at Maggianos several times. This time we did not receive very good service. A salad that was ordered was never delivered and we also were celebrating a birthday and the Waitress didn't recognize even after a call was made to the restaurant before the dinner. I have corrected that with Open table. Awful service. We were waiting ten minutes for waters and about 20 minutes for each drink.
I understand that the restaurant was busy but Our server clearly had no interest in serving us. As our dessert was placed on the table, so was our check. We had been intending to stay for another drink but felt pushed out.
After this we needed a to go box and our server completely disappeared once we had paid he was still working-just avoiding our table. We tried to get the attention of about 3 other servers before one finally came over, who was the only one busy- and she was very helpful.
Overall food was good but I would not go back due to this which is a shame. The best Italian food I have ever had! Everything was great! From the service, the food was hot, well flavored and seasoned; the drinks were well balanced strong and sweet and I fell in love with the tiramisu! I would literally catch a bus and train just for the tiramisu! Old school Italian ambiance, great food and drinks just make sure you bring the right company!
Definitely will be back soon! Drinks and food were great! Service could have been better. Not much interaction and did not read us specials as I noticed other servers were.
After our first drink we asked for drink menu again and next thing I notice he brought the check. Server Akeyla and all other staff were amazing! My son and I had a delicious dinner.
Our waitress was amazing! Oh my the Apple Tart, or whatever it was called, was Fantastic. For Boston, the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely go back! My family and I make our annual trip to Maggiano's for my son's birthday; never disappointed!!! The waitstaff is always great, especially Tomas!
And the host was very friendly and accommodating. As usual the food was good. Service was extremely slow and unorganized. Took way to long for appetizers to come and then when we order more it was ridiculous how long it took, could have been due to lack of communication between the staff. Took over 15 minutes for our second bottle of wine to come, which is crazy. The servers themselves were polite and helpful, not sure where the delays came from. Will not be rushing back.
Server was horrible. Not attentive to guest. The bar service was slow. We waited awhile each time we ordered drinks. Waiter worked hard. Great food and atmosphere , love the roomy booths. Very good Italian, minimal wait w reservation, reasonable pricing, good service, would return! I have been a patron here before but I will never go back again.
Repeatedly forgot our bread, our waters, sodas and appetizer. Never brought us our bread. Never refilled our waters or asked if we needed another refill or how our food was. Took my order down wrong, gave me meat sauce instead of vodka sauce. I asked for at least my bowl of pasta to come out with vodka sauce The waiter was RUDE and could care less and had an attitude to boot.
